Journey through picturesque country roads, where rolling hills, lush valleys, and panoramic views await. Your adventure begins in Cooroy, where you’ll explore the town’s heritage, art, and culture before heading to Pomona for a gourmet lunch at a local favorite, complete with a refreshing drink. Enjoy time to wander the charming streets, browse galleries, or even indulge in a gin tasting.
The experience continues with a scenic lookout offering stunning views of the Noosa Everglades, followed by a peaceful lakeside walk at Lake Cootharaba. Next, venture into Kin Kin, a hidden gem rich in history and local charm, where you’ll visit a 100-year-old hotel and browse unique crafts. The afternoon culminates in a mead tasting at a beautiful estate, wrapping up a day of unforgettable flavors and stunning scenery.

Below is our New and Improved Itinerary for 2025!!
- Your journey begins with a short scenic drive to our first stop in Cooroy, where you will be guided on a heritage, art and culture walk. You will then have some time to explore the village, which could include the Butter Factory Arts Centre exhibits, or maybe a coffee at one of the local coffee shops.
- A lovely country drive will then land us in the heart of the Noosa Hinterland, Pomona, for a gourmet lunch made with local produce at the local’s favourite restaurant. A drink is also included.
- After lunch, use your free time in Pomona to explore the streets, local art gallery or maybe settle in for a gin tasting at the local gin distillery.
- A scenic drive to a secret lookout will give us a panoramic view of the Noosa Everglades, hinterland, coastline and beyond.
- We will then arrive alongside the picturesque lake Cootharaba, the biggest lake in the Noosa Everglades. Here you will enjoy the tranquility and be taken on a guided lakeside walk.
- A lovely country drive will then land us in Kin Kin, deep in the Noosa Hinterland, where you will been shown through this lovely little village, including a refreshing drink at a 100+ year old historical hotel, and on the odd occasion have the chance to purchase locally made art & craft at the unique town gift store.
- From Kin Kin we continue our country drive through the scenic Kin Kin ranges to the where the afternoon delves into a mead tasting at a beautiful local estate, where the mead-making has been in this family for 3 generations. [Mead tastings are not available on our Sunday tour and replaced with a drink at an equally amazing hinterland craft brewery]
- On our way home we’ll pick up our everglades tour guests before dropping you directly at your accommodation in time for sunset and dinner.

“We had a fabulous day exploring the Hinterlands. Joel has great local knowledge with lots of interesting stories to tell. The tour was a great balance between walking on the edge of stunning Lake Cootharaba, views of Hinterland mountains, wandering around the quaint town of Pomona ( great local art) to sampling delicious mead ( first time I have ever tasted mead I am sold on it!!) and local craft beer ( the beer tasting was very enjoyable even for a non beer person!!). This tour requires a minimum of 3 adults booked for the tour to operate. We reserve the right to not operate this tour if we don’t reach this minimum requirement.
Door to Door Pick-up and Drop-off for Noosa Hinterland Tour
For our Noosa Hinterland Tour, Joel’s Journeys will pick-up and drop-off customers from their home or accommodation in Mooloolaba, Maroochydore, Twin Waters, Marcoola, Coolum Beach, Peregian Beach, Sunshine Beach, Noosa Junction, Noosa Heads, Noosaville, Tewantin and anywhere in between these hubs. Please ensure you provide your pick-up address when you make the booking.

Luxury Vehicle
You will be chauffeured around in comfort in our luxury vehicle with a maximum of 10 guests. Our bus is equipped with reclining seats and a USB port for each seat to recharge your phones and cameras throughout a day. The vehicle has a fridge running throughout the day to keep cool any cold produce you purchase.
