"We had a fantastic day with Joel’s Journeys. The train trip was memorable travelling in an historic steam train while travelling through beautiful countryside in the Mary Valley reaching our destination of Amamoor. We jumped into the van which is very comfortable and air conditioned ready for the next stop - the Imbil Lookout and then a delicious lunch at Kenilworth. You might like to try one of the donut shop’s donuts while there. They are yummy! Our final stop was the Fig Tree walk which is an easy stroll through the rainforest which was breathtaking. The Moreton Bay Figs are majestic as their branches stretch above the tree canopy. We were lucky enough to see three Mary River cod and a Mary River turtle. Joel is a great tour guide who is passionate about nature providing tour goers with a knowledgeable yet entertaining experience. You’ll have to ask him what bird or birds you are hearing as you walk through the bush. You travel through beautiful countryside, historic Australian towns topped off with a delicious lunch before experiencing the beautiful bush Queensland has to offer which you may not otherwise experience."

Montville is a charming village and the views from the Glass House Mountains are spectacular. We sampled the luscious local chocolate and finished the day with a vineyard wine tasting. Probably the most memorable part was a walk through the prehistoric old growth rain forest where Joel's botanic knowledge was invaluable. All in all, it was a marvellous day."

"We have just returned from a beautiful day out with Joel exploring the Sunshine Coast hinterland and beyond. We enjoyed our morning tea at a beautiful lookout with picturesque scenery and waterfall below. Montville was a treat to visit with a chocolate tasting and lots of artisan shops to peruse. We enjoyed a delicious lunch in Flaxville at The Barn, a very pleasant and friendly place to dine. We were awed by the sight of the Glasshouse Mountains, and then our visit to Mary Cairncross Nature Reserve was enhanced by Joel's knowledge of all things natural as we walked through the beautiful surroundings. We finished our very special day with a wine tasting at the Flame Winery, a perfect end to a perfect day. We cannot recommend Joel's Journeys more highly. From pickup at our resort, to the beautiful scenery, to Joel's extensive knowledge and his lovely personality, all came together to create a perfect day out."

Joel picked us up in Brisbane and took us on a beautiful hike in Noosa National Park - he is extremely knowledgeable about the local wildlife, which really added to our experience (we spotted whales, dolphins, and several rare birds). We then did a tour of some of the local spots in Noosa (including a stop to see some wild kangaroos) and ended with a stunning sunset on Tinbeerwah peak. "Excellent tour! Recommended by our accommodation, Noosa Shores Resort, a morning call from Joel from Joel’s Journeys confirming our imminent pick up set the tone from this friendly tour guide. Settled into his super comfy van with great viewing windows and we set off for Old Gympie Station for our start with the Mary Valley Rattler. Atmosphere galore with character volunteers at the station and on the train and beautiful scenery in abundance. History check. Atmosphere check. Good vibes check. Met by Joel at Amamoor and we were off again for a day of touring the beautiful townships and surrounds of the Mary Valley. Lots of interesting and passionate commentary, short nature walks suited to young and old, incredible lookouts and wrapped up with a delicious lunch at Kenilworth with time to sample treats (artisan cheeses, bakeries, chocolatier). Despite the rain, Joel ensured that the tour was well-paced and completely worth the price. Joel himself is an incredible tour guide, going above and beyond to make sure everyone felt comfortable and got the most out of the experience. Even with the weather, we got to see so much, including breathtaking views and fascinating insights that we wouldn't have discovered on our own. One highlight was the spot Joel found for lunch—it was perfect. Not only was the food great with plenty of options, but the view was absolutely spectacular. It really added to the whole experience. After lunch, we headed to Australia Zoo, where Joel dropped us off just in time for the Wildlife Warriors show. We had over three hours to explore the zoo and still had plenty of time to see all the other exhibits. In summary, if you're considering booking this tour, don't hesitate. Joel is an amazing guide who knows how to put on a top-notch tour. You're guaranteed to have a fantastic time, rain or shine. Highly recommended!"
